Though the coyote's presence might not have offended her before—she had not been raised with prejudices and though she had not met a coyote before, she couldn't imagine why there would be a problem—it certainly did now. A deep growl rose in her throat, a sound foreign to herself, even. "Who are you calling filth?" she spat, body tense. Due to the friendly and family natured pack she had been born and raised in, Artemis did not understand the concept of prejudice between wolves, coyotes, and dogs. Most Dreamers, if not all, were wolves, but she would not have thought it strange if another species joined.
"Well no one invited here, puttana," she responded. Of course, she knew nothing of whether or not this woman was at all what Artemis had called her, and Savina would have been shocked to hear her daughter speaking that way. The coyote was correct in that there would be no help for her problems by yelling, but it made the silver-painted girl feel better to do so. The world was harshly unfair and everything was finally bubbling over in a coybantic manner.
