Oak was well aware that he was creating the perfect pathway for Cypress to catch up and him and maul him, but he wanted him to. He lay in the snow only long enough for Cypress to let go of his leg, and then rose shakily to his feet. Seeing his brother in a heap, he snickered, but the tease was cut short, because like lightning the slightly smaller wolf was on his feet again. The crimson-splashed hybrid merely backed up, knowing he could not escape the wrath of his brother's jaws. Low growls rumbled from his chest as teeth clamped on his scruff, pinching like needles as his skin and fur was yanked back and forth.
The brothers continued their play until both of them grew completely irritated by the snow. They cleaned themselves off on the porch of the Manor and, in better spirits than before, went inside.
