A few moments slid past, trickling like cold water through the now-melting mountain streams. Something had changed her, just as many things had changed him, and Caillen was surprised by his nonchalant feelings towards the woman. She had, after all, almost killed him. Was this what forgiveness felt like, or merely a lack of caring? Death did not seem to be the crime it had been so long ago. He was older now, a little more insane - Perhaps that made him wiser.
He rose from his haunches and began to approach, pausing ever few steps to stare intently at her again. Now, at a much nearer distance, he sat once again - a pause, and then the giant moved to lie down on his belly, ears still pricked and alert. It was a submissive pose, and cold blue eyes surveyed her keenly for a reaction, wary still of the medical blade in hand.
