The giant took thundering steps as he exited his den, the cave torches casting a long shadow on his tall figure. In his hands he clutched the weapon that was the extension of his own body, and a tool to sharpen the blade with. His sturdy back arched as he bent down to prevent hitting the low ceiling with all his glorious armor, until the space opened up tremendously into the general common room. King's eye took a moment to adjust to the lighting, as it was bright in the large, open space despite the darkness that was settling outside.
Fire crackled almost too loudly along the echoed halls, making the giant even more aware how quiet the caves were that early evening. The bone washed warrior took notice of how large the pack grew, and still found it strange at all the different things a member was allowed to do. However, as the giant took a seat upon a supple deerskin covered boulder, he relaxed as he took notice of the number of warriors that were also increasing in the pack.
Viking loosened the grip he had on the makeshift whetstone, settling it down before him. It was still wet from the water he applied to it not moments before he left his den. Long, dark braids spilled over his taught shoulders as the warrior leaned forward, lifting the axe blade towards the firelight. It was sharp, no doubt about that, with only a few nicks here and there.. but even in a more damaged state, the warrior wouldn't have made another axe. It was as much a part of his life as his own blood. Re-gripping the weapon firmly, King angled the blade towards the whetstone.
In the large, silent common room, the blade struck against the stone and rang out loud.
