Word Count: 306. And yes, this is how Pixie reacts to children’s books. Don’t judge her <__<

There wasn’t much for the young wolfess to do today other than practice her reading skills. She hadn’t been reading a lot outside of her lessons with Skye, so after a short hunting trip, she went inside the manor and into the living room, where she picked out a random book from one of the shelves. It was a fairly simply written book, but the story confused her to no end. It was a little bear who had a strange obsession with honey, and was so fat that he managed to get himself stuck in the front door of his neighbor’s house. The neighbor happened to be a rabbit, and his home was a burrow. The bear also had several other friends, including a piglet (which the bear never ate, surprisingly), a tiger who somehow managed to get around by bouncing on his tail, and a donkey whose tail could be taken off and pinned on again, yet causing no injury whatsoever. The book had drugs written all over it.

Pixie looked up from the mind warping story for a moment to take a look outside; she was seated near the window and had a good view of the world outside the manor. The sun was peaking out from behind the clouds, but she doubted it would still be visible tomorrow. She looked out at the front lawn of the manor, the white fence surrounding it, and, beyond that, the great expanse of the territory. She couldn’t help but recall when she met Denali wandering nearby, and when they had taken a ride around the manor. It had been snowing that day, but it was still fun to teach Denali how to ride a horse, something that she hadn’t been able to share with anyone else before. The blue-gray girl sighed; she would miss that kid.
