Anka is so, so dramatic. Wow.

She studied the female hard, her eyes squinting at the form, trying to find something that would make the connection clearer. Silver... she blinked. Then the flashback hit her, and she blinked harder, trying to clear the vision of her past from her eyes to see the female who was actually before her now. They were the same. They obviously realised each other's identity within moments of the other, because she spoke just after her aunt did, her voice barely any louder. "Iskata. Iskata Sadira." It all made sense to her now. Her mother's sister. Those had not been the best days of her life. She sighed softly.

"It's Anka now," she told the older female quietly, to soothe the cringe that followed the sound of her former name. She couldn't find it in her heart to be rude to this female... she was nearly certain Iskata would not know of Aiji's death, and she herself would have to be the bearer of bad news. And she barely remembered the girl anyhow; there was no sense in being rude. She wasn't being offensive. Anka offered a weak smile, but already, she was starting to lose her calm. How could she possibly sum up the death of Aiji in the short, simple words that would be most comfortable for both females. How could she explain that her mother's death had been for the best, that she wouldn't have wanted to continue on like that, even if saving her had been possible? Her jaw tightened. She tried to breathe.

This would be an interesting day.
