Wake up in a different world

So what if I'm crazy?

Nadia could not believe her bad luck. She had been almost killed, thrown into a boat and dragged unwillingly over the ocean, and was now landed in a primitive, savage world. The wolves here did not have mirrors, did not cook their food, and did not wear clothes. Well, neither did she nowadays, but it didn't feel right to her. How used to silk gowns and cooked meat had she really gotten? Could she adapt to this uneducated, uncivilized world? She had always been a daring, adventurous, rebellious girl, but this time it wasn't by her design. Now, she didn't know what she had gotten herself into.

She had taken careful note of the clans and packs that seemed to live here. From experience, she knew that if she was caught trespassing, she would be in big trouble. Of course, she could run, or just shoot down everyone who tried to attack her, but she wasn't going to do that. She had been brought up as a princess, and was taught history, reading, writing, swordplay, archery, mathematics, and etiquette by her many tutors. Even if the wolves here were vicious, she would not abandon all that she learned.

She was hungry, having not eaten for days, and much to her convenience, she found herself in a forest. Jumping swiftly and stealthily into a tree, she strung her bow and waited for animals to come. Almost immediately, a rabbit darted by, and without hesitation she shot it through its iris. One rabbit was more than enough for her. But she wanted another, just in case someone came by, so that she could make a friend. Maybe there were more Italians around here. Somehow she doubted it, but she wanted to at least have someone to talk to about her life before she came to this stupid place.

Without even having to move, she caught another rabbit with ease. She half jumped, half fell down the tree and picked up the rabbits. They were not extremely fat, only around six or seven pounds each, but they would be enough for her and someone else to share. It could simply taken as a polite gesture. She cleaned the arrows with the rabbit fur and put them back in her sheath. Having only twenty arrows including the two she had just shot, she couldn't afford to use a new one every time she shot something. If she did, she would starve pretty soon. She had no idea how to hunt like a normal wolf. Yawning, she skinned the rabbits and lay down, her limbs curling around her delicate areas. In a matter of seconds she was asleep.
