Itzal walked along, moving from shadow to shadow swiftly and with graceful movements. He did not do it intentionally, it was just instinct for him, it was how he moved. He had always stuck to the shadows, though he never feared stepping out of them to face what he must, he much perferred them. He thought better when he had the cool, calming presence of darkness in the shadows to help conseal him. He blended in well, fading at times from sight except for the very weak outline that could give him away to well trained eyes. He walked on two legs, which did not bother him. He was not one to cower from shifting to any of his forms, it was who he was, he had been born with the gift, and he used it. He thought of the dagger that even now hung at his waist, ready for use.
He looked around at this place, wondering why it seemed so much more...seperate, then the places surrounding it. It had a diffrent feel to it, one of calmness, but something underneath that, something otherworldly. Itzal glanced around out of curiousity, not fear. He believed that there was evil in the world, pure evil, like himself, he felt it there. It was in everyone, and if allowed, it would consume them, and the world. He was not a stranger to religious beliefs, he had seen some very odd ones in his time, but he was not sure what he believed. Good and evil existed, he knew, but nothing was entirerly one or the other, because without one, the other could not exist. He did not believe it was required to believe or follow any religion to be whole or complete, so he didn't.
Itzal stopped and ran a paw through his hair and bangs. He smiled to himself as he felt the wind pick up. He nodded to himself and kept moving, shifting from shadow to shadow.
