Her voice floated, deathly still, on the air. Her accented words kept their flat tone as she continued, 'What do you want, wolf'. She circled him slowly, her Secui form moving as if in slow motion.
If the male had appeared yesterday or a few days before that, perhaps she would have been nicer. But today was the day he arrived and today was the day Io was in one of her moods. 'Now', she said, before hesitating, 'What business do you have on our lands?' Her tone didn't rise, in anger nor anything else. Io was a woman who always kept her voice low, finding no reason to raise her voice, or at least not very often.
A few days had past since she met with either of her 'lovers', this wolf held not a candle to either of them. She rolled back into a sitting position, facing the wolf. If he attacked she would be defencless however Io was not afraid, she had seen to much to scare easily.
