She tried to think of any descriptions of an animal like this, but even the few pictures she'd seen in books did not remind her of anything. She felt less fearful when the monster stated in a calm voice that she was trying to help, rather than being mauled by the beast. She just didn't know how to react to her though, but if she could accept viking, for all he was a huge ferocious wolf-monster, couldn't she accept this other monster too?
