She accepted the food blithely, apparently trusting in his nature such that the meal was taken without suspicion. This may have aroused some form of dismay from his calculative nature, but Sirius new from the look in the coyote's sweet but surprisingly intelligent golden eyes that she had assessed the situation, and deemed it safe enough. For a moment, he watched her eat, entranced by the ravenous and yet dignified way in which she savored the cooked flesh. Cold, hungry eyes narrowed with that familiar serpentine intensity upon her. She was not prey, nor was she Family - But Sage was an interesting figure nonetheless, and the enigma of the mysterious Revlis man had begun to enjoy her gentle bantering.

Her reply pleased him, and the sharp smile returned, glinting dangerously in the wan light. Although he had given her no true reason to fear him, the Hunter was indeed not a creature to be taken lightly in one's stride - He emanated a thick aura of cunning and danger, an assertiveness that hinted at an ambitious lust for power. Although somewhat lean, as was his skinny but unknown father, there was a strength to the man that pulsed in his frame, shone through in the cold light of those acidic olive-green eyes. The wicked hungry smile lingered a moment more, before being sheathed in civility and the air of gentry he so apparently adored. "Quite right you are, dear girl. Quite right." Came the pensive swell of an unintentionally seductive voice, tones laced with youthful thoughtfulness as he gazed heatedly at her. Such a pretty specimen. Such royal blood.

A light shrug was given, and he absently tossed the bone he had been gnawing on over one dark shoulder. "Inferni is lucky, to have one who is clever and beautiful. I hope they don't waste you, lovely Sage," A forbidding darkness came to his expression, brooding in the way it so often was. Dark, unruly locks of hair fell to temporarily obscure his intense gaze. Soon, Inferni, and by connection Sage herself, would know of him in a different light - When Kingdom came, and when the dark Hunter was crowned in thorn and thistle. He rose abruptly, leaving the rest of the hare skewered. Again the male's gaze clung to her, with whispers of that dangerous, sensual hunger. But he smiled gently, grimly. "The morning waxes on too fast for my liking. The land of Gabriel should have you back, safe from the dangers of this mountain." In a strange way, it was a goodbye - Sirius had grown restless, and his peculiar hunger for her was slowly slipping from the cruel fist of control in which the male held it. He did not wish to be foolish and romantic at such a time, not when to much unknown to her was at stake.
