What lies beneath the surface

There was a lot on the craftsman's mind. And the only way he could solve it was by walking away.

Bangle missed being out on his own again, though the gypsy lifestyle seemed to be gone with the wind. Though he was still free to roam, the jeweled man still felt tied down. Clothed in his mossy garment, Bangle gripped his elegant staff, tied a few possessions about his waist, and set off. He wasn't quite sure where he was going, but to the coywolf it mattered little. The trees that enveloped him in shadow were welcoming, and the cold earth beneath his feet urging him forward; he was happy to be anywhere but Thornbury.

It was Skye, mostly, that bothered the male. There were times when the wandering craftsman would wake up next to the woman in part to her night terrors - or cries of pain. The latter seemed to be happening more frequently, now, and her belly more than a little swollen these days. The pregnancy was hard on her, he knew, but it was becoming more and more daunting on him.

The sound of the oasis hit his ears quickly, and already the male could feel his muscles relaxing. But if it was the craftsman's desire to get away from the thoughts of his mate, he would find that he was at the wrong place. As he brushed past some of the larger leaves, into the clearing, Bangle would also find that its visitor made a bad situation worse.

"'Elo there, friend!" He called out across the way, waving across the oasis at the man who looked troubled.
