For a moment, it seemed as if the girl had indeed died where she lay, bathed in sweet sunlight. Then, movement, sudden enough to make the mocha-furred male freeze suspiciously.

The girl was remarkably similar in appearance and scent to the Infernian Lykoi lady that he had met days prior. They were far too alike for it to be coincidence - Relatives. Cousins or sisters, judging by the nearness of age that he perceived. But the differences between the two stood out to him immediately, as the seated girl tilted her head to observe him; Primarily her hair, such a wild abandon of molted gold, spilling over elegant shoulders like cascading sunlight.

Sirius had never been a poetic soul, prone to wistfulness or romanticism. He was entirely practical, usually motivated by substantial things such as gain and power. But for a moment, the young man allowed himself to simply stare at her, stare on and on with hungry hunter's eyes. She was one of the most refined creatures he had ever seen - Delicate in frame, a wraith, a siren. What in hell's name was she doing on the mountain, as blank-faced and ignorant of the dangers as her kin?

She broke the spell with words, sing-song and faint. Sirius frowned, but quickly transformed the expression into a more pliable look of disbelief. "You alright, miss?" Her actions thus far had been a little less than normal, and seeing as his misfortune in catching any prey had led to her, the hunter figured it was worthwhile sating his natural curiosity. "What're you doing out here, all by yourself? The mountain is no place for a lady on her own," Although the words were scornful, they were voiced in the smooth, polite etiquette of a concerned gentleman. He had learned many tricks in London, and the gentry of that place were easy to mimic.
