It was easy to see that he was not the same as he had once been. Open, trusting, caring. He cared about some things, perhaps..but they were few and far between. Gideon's eyes had lost some of their gleam, their thirst for life and all that it had to offer. His children were nearly grown and were off on their own more than ever before, which was for the best. He wouldn't have been able to care for them much longer anyway, considering his injuries.

Bits of muscle had been seemingly scooped out from around the joints in his legs during the time that he had been experimented on. He could barely walk in his optime form at all without the use of a cane, and with the kind of terrain that he traveled over daily a cane wasn't very practical. So lupus form it was.

Scars ran over his face and ears, marking him in areas that could be more easily seen by others. Gideon could not remember anything about that day...he knew that he had gone away somewhere to look for...something. But he didn't remember who he had come across or from where they had hailed...nor the reason why someone would do something like this to another living creature.

Nayru's howl surprised him, and he shuffled toward the area from which the sound had come. Her voice was distinctive and brought him up out of his fog for a minute, a smile cracking on his maw. She had pushed a sense of urgency into her howl, but he could only travel so fast...he would arrive late, for certain. Hopefully she would forgive him. The male stood toward the back of the group when he finally did arrive, not wanting to hold the meeting up for any longer than he already had.
