While jaws greedily reached to tear off large chunks of flesh, his hunger was under control. Rushing the meal would do no good, and he took pleasure in small things such as this simple meal with the presence of a mastermind. Yes, perhaps the flawed boy was a fool to assume the nature of the male before him, but he thought he could allow himself the chance of missing a step every once in a while. But smell and taste was ruined these days after what he had witnessed. It had opened the door for a new acquaintanceship with another canine, one that he had known nothing of until the day she appeared before a dying canine and revealed the depths of her unintentional wickedness. But she had captivated him, and Itachi could not resist seeking more answers once his curiosity peaked. Sirius was worthy of his time as well, if not in the future then at least now, while the boy’s attention was fresh and questioning.

The response the blonde youth received reminded him of the encounter with the male that currently held the rank as Rakeeb. The man had ridiculed his appreciation for black velvet dotted with light. He had revealed why, but Itachi, who had been more of a child then, had not accepted the reason he still viewed as rather pitiful. Sirius words insisted that he was wrong, but the hybrid could understand that he spoke these words because he thought them to be true. Considering the change of perspective offered by the older man, he found that he had to agree, though only to some extent. It was true that Itachi knew nothing but himself, but even his own mind could prove to be littered with unknown qualities and secrets. Would a creature ever know itself fully? These were interesting questions to linger on, thought he had to wonder about the likeliness of finding a genuine answer. Absolutely nothing was certain, he decided.

Bleeding eyes were drawn to the male’s hand and the disassembled object which moments later was thrown down before him. Such a strange question to ask. Lids hooded the glorious colours swirling around the boy’s attentive pupils, remained at the object before him. He knew it only because he had been unfortunate enough to risk stomping on a similarly made snare back when he had been a younger fool and lived with the clan. But did Sirius toss his line out into deeper depths for richer prey? Itachi’s mind did not follow common logic, but he would occasionally let go of the reins and expand his capability to analyse. This object could be so many things, and it all depended on the set of eyes that saw. It could be the beginning and the end, captivity and release, life and death. But the other man’s question was simple, and Itachi rarely offered unnecessary data. ”A snare,” he spoke, hollow gaze again climbing to the face of his current companion in pursuit of reaction.
