She didn't often come to the beach. Inferni's beach wasn't much to her liking. There was a negative energy about it that she didn't feel when she traveled to Cours des Miracles to hang out around their cliff-laden ocean view. No, it was much darker here. Sage didn't feel like she belonged at this beach. But something pulled here there, today.

It had been a lazy day for Sage, and though she'd traveled quite far through Inferni, out of it, and back again, she would certainly not ignore the pull for an unusual detour. The girl had nowhere to be, really, anyways. As the salt-spray air became more dense, the tawny girl slowed Lennon, breathing in the scent of the sea. With it, though, came another familiar scent. Immediately, lax chocolate ears perked to attention. Talitha? she wondered, yellow eyes trying to peer through the sparse trees, dimming light hindering her vision.

Quietly, she dismounted Lennon, trusting him to stay near with a gentle pat to his nose. The trees became quickly thinner on foot, and Sage stood at the edge of the thick-sanded, rocky beach, staring out at the shoreline where yellow eyes fixed on a dark, wavy-haired lady. Sage's heart rose with excitement, ears fully forward, a smile across her previously vacant face. But something was wrong.

She remained silent as she watched the pretty girl hurl what looked like a book across the beach. It's pages made a dissatisfied sound followed by a thump as it hit the ground. Sage didn't know what to do. If she made herself known now, would Talitha be mad to have been seen? The girl crouched down and backed up for a moment, not wanting to be noticed just yet. She couldn't hear what the auburn-haired lady said, but as her body fell to the earth, crouched and uncomfortable, Sage's eyes filled with that same worry again. No, she thought sadly, yellow eyes creased with concern.

Slowly, Sage descended to the shore. She did not speak as she neared the pretty girl, but hoped that her scent would reveal her to Talitha. An ever-so-gentle hand reached out to touch Talitha's back. Sage's hands were small, but they carried mighty warmth. The tan Lykoi lowered herself cautiously to the russet woman's side, concerned face tilting towards the one hidden by loose curls beside her.

"Hey..." was all she managed to whisper, voice quiet, concerned, mirroring the expression in Sage's delicate face.
