The Hero's Heart

sorry for the wait!

Robin pushed herself again him when she let go of the shelf. The male knew little of how to hold a pup, at least one that was squirming as much as Robin was. Alder's hands moved to grip the puppy, his face set in a frown as he prayed that she would fall from his chest's height. And that was a long way down. At her accusation the male shook his head with blue eyes on his brother. It wasn't him, or course Haven would believe the pleading look that he gave.

His brother shook off the notion, and the tree named boy felt a small wave of relief pass over him. And his large hands had finally figured out hos to keep the young wolf from falling to the floor. Now that she was stable, Alder felt far more at ease and stood before Haven with the small weight of his daughter in his arms. The Uncle listened too, taking in the lesson and knowing it's truth. There were many ways of being rich, though Alder did not worry about riches as much as he did the happiness of those he loved.
