<3 Here we are. It's a bit later than I wanted it to be, but it's here. Big Grin

The day was cold and drizzly, a marked contrast from the day before. Yesterday had been warm, the birds had been singing, and the world had looked mighty nice. Today... Well, today's weather went to show that you could not trust Spring. Désirée cast a dark look out the door of the mall she was standing in as a roll of thunder boomed overhead. This was not her only destination within the shopping complex, though, and for that she was grateful. The less she had to be out, the better. She had been in this store before, or one very similar. It was huge, more than large enough for its purpose, but a glance about the room was sufficient to explain why the builders had left so much space.

Desi was standing in a store that had once sold clothing, weapons, and gear for the human hunters; plenty of this still lined the lower walls and stood in racks and shelves on the floor. But above, where one would have only expected bare walls, were the mounted heads of elk, moose, deer of many species, as well as what appeared to be full bodied pheasants, quail, small mammals, and fish so large the colliewolf did not think she would be able to hold them without assistance. And that was not even counting the stained wood support that held the fish to the walls!

The girl had been more than entranced by these mounts the first time she entered the place, but now she was on a bit of a mission. She wanted more arrows, and thought that maybe if she looked just a little harder, perhaps she could find a few that she had missed. She was also considering purchasing more clothing of the ilk suitable for working in so that she could have back-up clothing if something happened to the overalls she had. She at least would pick up another bag, so she could bring an empty container to put things in if she did not use it today. She also had never picked up a quiver for her arrows, which made hunting incommodious at best.

As she looked through the large hiker's backpacks, Desi glanced out the window, nearly went on without pause and then looked out again. Had she seen what she thought she had? The girl thought she saw a tawny figure across the human street from the building she was in, but she could not be sure. She made for the exit, stopping to grab an umbrella from one of the floor-mounted stands as she went. If there was someone out there, she wanted to know about them before they could ambush her.
