Desi smiled as Saluce laughed at her exaggerated lament about the trade. She knew she had been lucky to only have to trade the three bottles; she thought that J'adore would either ask for more wine right away or would want her to obtain more to continue making payments, but instead the Spaniard had been content with what she had. Still, maybe she would get more, leave it on his doorstep or something, even if it was only a thank you present instead of a payment.
His comment about her smile brought on another smile of the same ilk, as it would likely ever do, for what could one do when teased about their smile but smile all the more? The man moved nearer to her, and she gravitated toward him as well, but they never made contact. Instead, Saluce asked if she wanted to learn to control Fuerte better. Eagerly, perhaps too eagerly, Desi nodded her head, perfectly willing to engage in any activity as long as she could be around her knight a little longer.
At Saluce's comment about being firm with Fuerte, the grullo swung around, ostensibly to get away from Saluce, and Desi laughed. The horse was making all sorts of pathetic noises, trying every way he could to warn her not to let the Dahlian do anything with him, but of course Desi couldn't understand a word of it. With another heated look, the colliewolf grinned. Definitely. I spent the better part of the last three days trying to bond with him nicely, I'm thinking it's about time to try a different tactic.
