They had gathered slowly, and the hybrid peered over them with interest, her ears pricked forward and her chartreuse eyes glittering with anxiousness and excitement both. The faces here were familiar, close ones -- she could count them as friends, maybe. Some she did not know so well, but she trusted them, anyhow, and Sirius had sought some out himself to ascertain their loyalties. She had, as well, and it seemed everything was falling into place. In her Lupus form for travel, the hybrid had waited at the caves, her tail held easily. She did not wish to draw attention to herself, and as they gathered in number she shifted, uneasy and wishing to move along.

When she could stand it no longer, she turned to Larkspur, and peered at him with a strange smile, alight with the strange and flickering firelight of the Anathema caves. She would miss firelight, but torches weren't impossible to come by, and their experience with them here would prove handy, she thought. None of them were torch-markers or in charge of lighting fires, but they were at least familiar with it. Larkspur was likely to exit through the horse's tunnel, but the hybrid woman thought dragging too many canines through there would draw the horse's nervousness and cause them to make noise. They should be surreptitious, she thought, for purposes of etiquette.

Wordlessly, she turned and made her way toward the exit of the cave, bending her head only to mutter to Pandemic and Salvia at her heels. “Maybe ride with your father on the horse, if he says you can?” she said, wondering if they were too big. Nearly five months old now, they were growing faster than she could fathom, and perhaps they would find it awkward to ride together. Eris carried a few of her own meager possessions, having once again gone through the process of purging what she did not need, moving it to Anathema's general storage cave for someone else to find in the future.

The still-dark air was cool, but lacking the biting cold of winter now; spring had certainly settled in now, and they would not see frosted ground again unless by freak weather. The greenery of it was dazzling even in shadow, and once they were quite a good distance clear of the caves and nearly to the border, she increased her pace steadily to a run, moving with that strange and coyote-esque lope, entirely too graceful on her bulky and large wolf body. The ground flew beneath her paws and she found herself before the new border in little under an hour, slowing her pace and dropping her muzzle to the ground and inhaling for Sirius's scent. Now that she was clearly within her own borders, her tail was lifted, and her head quickly rose again to its elevated position, though she did not glance behind her to see the others and their positions.

She found Sirius's scent quickly and trotted after it, dipping her head to him as they came into view. In view of the rest of him, her submission was not so severe, but it was clear -- her head was quite clearly lower than his, her eyes carefully averted from his direct gaze, careful not to catch it for so much as a moment. Eris took her place beside him jauntily, feeling for the first time that strange disparity here, wondering if she ought to instead stand beside Larkspur. She made no move, however, and simply faced the rest of them beside Sirius.
