Word Count » 523 :: Guessed there was no set posting order? Oh, and Bastion is on Janos's back, cause he wanted a piggy back o.o

Only two short days had passed since his second encounter with the dark female who called herself Eris, and yet the unusual pair was heading out to meet the dark one once more; in search of a home. Even if what she had spoken of sounded more like wishful thinking, he truly hoped that he and the cherub upon his back would find their own family with Eris and this Sirius.

Despite being sent ahead to scout the lands, the Russo male had not found them a place to stay, and so he truly hoped that Eris could provide them with what he had failed to find. Bastion shifted a little, and so he adjusted his hold upon the other so that he continued to safely support his master; for Bastion was the sole focus of his attention at all times and the husky like male would not stand by and watch the child be harmed in his presence, nor would he inflict pain upon his master.

Stepping forward, his coat was caught up in a burst of wind; the tattered leather flew out behind him, swaying softly with the wind, his sword clattered gently against his leg. It was nearing morning and a dark blanket covered the sky, for tonight was the night of founding, when day light came, so would a new beginning.

Cool, blue eyes lifted to stare at the pool of darkness above him, picking out scattered dots of light which were the stars; beautiful and untouchable, a dark night full of endless possibilities. Such beauty could only be taking as a good sign, right? Although he had had a few streaks of bad luck, he prayed that things would work out for he and the little one.

Yet, even as memories of pain and torture threatened to consume his mind, the dark thoughts were caught at the last moment and held at bay; leaving only an undying curiosity and the bubbling excitement in him. For tonight only, he would think positively.

Never stopping, he continued to move forward at a steady, brisk pace; heading closer and closer to the lands in which Eris had spoken of. As he closed in, he noted the silence that seemed to fill the surrounding area, as if the land itself waited in anticipation.

It was not long before the Russo male picked up the scent of the dark female and other canine’s scents, mingled together, creating a path of scent for him to follow. Altering his course slightly, he made his way to their location. Continuing with his upbeat pace, it did not take him long to find them.

As the others came into view, he stopped at the back and dipped his head slightly in welcome, before he lowered himself to the ground; so that the cherub he carried upon his back could jump of. Now upon the ground, he crossed his legs and silently sat there, watching the others with cautious eyes.

He may somewhat trust Eris, but the others had yet to prove themselves to him. There was no way of knowing whether they were friend or for, yet.
