The strange feeling disappeared as quickly as it had come to her, and she found herself instead simply elated as they began to gather from the darkness, having traveled at their various paces to this place. She would not see the caves again; it was unlikely any of them would. She was here for life, anyway -- there was no drawing Eris Eternity away from the power and prestige offered here. Perhaps she was lucky to have it; Sirius might have easily deigned to make the Itachi-canine his subleader. He was vicious enough, and Eris above all others respected that polymorphous shadow she had seen in him, raging at containment within a mortal heart. Still, there was some reason she had been chosen for this, and she would serve Salsola as it served her.

Of course, Eris had no knowledge of how to be a leader -- she would need to be educated by Sirius, though they would be secretive and quiet regarding this education as they had been with her education as a hunter. Her skill did not match or so much as come close to touching Sirius's skill where the hunt was concerned, but she was no longer useless. She was capable of feeding herself, of surviving on her own -- though now, with the formation of this place, that would be a formality; the pack would hunt at her beck and call. She could not suppress a toothy smile at this thought, one that spread just as Bastion and Janos arrived.

Her chartreuse eyes followed the younger, cream-shaded wolf, marveling once more at his size; she had underestimated him at first, as she was sure all others who first laid eyes upon him did. His size was hardly a detriment to his lifestyle, she noted, especially with burly Janos behind him. The tawny optime wandered up to them with glee in his face, and she bent to receive his affectionate gestures, returning a brief nuzzle to each side of the wolfish maw of Bastion. Her chartreuse eyes flickered downward to the small and whimpering thing he set before her, and widened with glee as the reddish fluid poured from the small thing's throat. She grinned her joyousness at this display and tilted her head downward in thanks at the youth's muttering, finding it entirely appropriate at such an event.

Her attentions were quickly drawn to Sirius as he spoke, finding the sight of him anything but irenic to that earlier disparity she had felt before. Gazing upon him, this only served to worsen that feeling, finding his slimmer coyote features attractive in the moment, more so than Larkspur's burliness and size. This reflected a moment in a thoughtful gaze upon her face, though it was easily interpreted as thoughtfulness toward the man's speech. Upon it's completion, the high, coyote notes of a howl rose up from the man's throat, and Eris found herself joining him, lending a lilting feminine tone that carried its own hints and hues of coyote to his.
