After trampling all over his traps the other day, the woman was on her way to see Cotl once more with intentions of repaying the loss she believed he had suffered on his traps. She had generously removed the left hind whole from the hip socket of the stag carcass she had slaughtered the other day and cleaned the decapitated skull with his magnificent antlers un-blemished and intact for the man as a gift. With the cracked and stained cloven hoof in both hands and the skull tied around her waist by some twine she tugged the heavy joint into the mansion, her feet producing a scampering tune along the floorboards as she pulled it towards the stairs. They looked steep, and she wasn’t exactly the best of weight pullers with her small frame. Undefeated a moan-like sigh escaped her pursed lips and the line across her brow hardened into a firm line as she hoyed the meat up the stairs one step at a time.
Reaching the top of the hefty flight of stairs after what had seemed forever the coyote paused for a moment and glanced down the hallway where he apparently lived. Would it be worth it? Or would he simply just grunt and take it, almost expecting of her gifts? He never showed any emotion towards anything. A concerned frown spread across her face, humfpt. She wouldn’t eat it anyways, and besides she’d rather him have it than the scavenging rats and mice that where so occasionally sighted around these parts. Half reluctantly she hauled her giftings down the hallway and quickly knocked on the door with the crazy shit all over it – it just had to be his room. ”Cotl?” she directed towards the door in a serene little girly voice needing of his attention, if he wasn’t in she would just leave.
