As much as the D'Angelo was somewhat enthralled with settling down into what would be a new (and very interesting) chapter of his life, it seemed the cavern's underground ambience was a little too arid for Helios on this day. Perhaps it was natural that underground systems usually held stagnant air that was uncomfortable to breathe in, and so the D'Angelo decided to escape to the surface today to explore the outlying areas of Anathema. Naturally a nocturnal creature at best, Helios decided to venture out into the blinding sunlight to get a taste of clean, moving air before burrowing himself away underground for a period of time. His marching boots brought him to no particular destination, but was mildly staggered to see how he stumbled upon creamy sands, and an ocean before him for as far as his jade eyes could see.
Helios didn't have fond childhood memories of playing with his siblings and family along a beachside. While the beach might have been an area of paradise, sunbathing, and relaxation, to Helios it was one of apprehension. His boots sank strangely into the sands, as the tall D'Angelo ventured out to where the sand slid down into the muddy coastline of the ocean. The air was salty, something Helios was unsure whether he liked or not. There was also that scent of the ocean itself upon the breeze, another aroma the D'Angelo wasn't sure he liked too much. Regardless, the view enough was interesting to him. Settling down to where he was near the gentle lap of ocean waves, fingers nimbly untied his boots to slip off next to him. Burying what he could of his feet into the warm sand, the sensation felt oddly… nice. Despite how the sunlight was absolutely blinding, he lifted his hand to block out the brightness as a veil, squinting out to what he could see of the sea and the waves. The coastal side wasn't his forte in the least, but there was no harm in taking a break from his exploration.
