She had barely spoken to any of her co-leaders at all. There was no desire to, and she knew that she was wrong to stomp about and brood about the changed that she felt had been forced on her. It could be important to remember that she was not alone in this mess, but she had the nasty habit of assuming the worst from those around her. It was taken for granted that the three other leaders would turn against her and push her out. The thought of resigning was very tempting, for she did not see how she could have any influence on any matter as long as the team of three were to stand strong against her. She believed Gabriel had thought he made the right decision, but she was close to loathing him for putting her in her current position.
It was all she could do these days; let her thoughts linger with her unhappiness about everything. Inferni had always been an Eden in her mind, but now she was not so certain. Everything was falling apart. She was not surprised though, for that was how her life was set to be; an endless journey through undeserved misery. Ah, self pity could be beautiful like that. But the exotic Centurion seemed harmonic now as she sat with her nose in a book in the mansion’s main living room, the same book she had attempted to read several months ago when she had been disturbed by her foolish half sibling. The girl was gone now, and Halo was indifferent. It only served to show what kind of treacherous material the girl was made of. But why didn’t the yellowing pages describe how to kill the mockingbird?
