It came as no surprise to the darker male when he heard of Theodore’s and Demi’s mate ship; the Corson had indicated as much during their last… unfortunate meeting. Although he’d been around Anathema for half a year now, he had not encountered the dark Rakeeb to form an opinion of the higher ranked male, but regardless, he pitied the guy for being stuck with the demon that was Demi and found himself questioning the other’s mental state; for after his … experiences with the female, he believed that no sane male would willingly stay near her for longer than necessary, let alone choose to be her mate. As he walked towards the location this ‘mate ship ceremony’ was being held, he reached a conclusion; She’s threatened him into agreeing to it, surely.
Although he wasn’t the female’s greatest fan, he was particularly concerned about her choice in mate; regardless of their lack of ability to get along, Demi was one of Selene’s children and with the white female now gone, he felt somewhat obliged to at least make sure that her children were okay. If this ‘Theodore’ chose to wrong Demi in someway.. well, he hadn’t thought that far ahead and was hoping that the evil female at least had the ability to choose a decent partner.
Treading lightly, it was not long before he reached the designated location where the ceremony was being held. As he approached, he decided to stop a distance off and choose to hang back and keep away from where the main attraction was going to take place, for if he were too close he could not guarantee that he wouldn’t let his mouth runaway with him, and he was in no mood to be dealing with the possible consequences if he did make a inappropriate comment. Yet, the one sentence begged for him to speak it.. ‘Burn baby burn’ .. no doubt it would be such a well timed comment if spoken when they crossed the coals, but he was sure somebody would have his head if he voiced it. Thus, his mouth was clamped shut, arms crossed tightly across his chest and eyes anywhere but at the happy couple.
