Myself & I

There wasn't a single sign of him at all. For weeks upon weeks the girl had devoted the majority of her day to hunting for her brother, searching here and there, and even going as far as climbing to the top of the mountain in hopes of finding him, or even his body. No matter where she looked, there was no sign of him, not a single trace of scent that he'd been anywhere near. Her father's words had almost been comforting at first, assuring her that her brother would return and find her, but after so long Rachias was beginning to doubt it. He was dead. Dead and not coming back. Why was Arkham dead though? Because of Gabriel. Because her older sibling saw fit to leave him behind and keep her from going back to find him. If it weren't for Gabriel, Arkham might be alive and well.

The young hybrid brooded over that fact often, wondering if Gabriel even thought about Arkham at all since they had arrived. Certainly not, all he seemed to care about right now was power. That was simply a guess though, because Rachias had been keeping herself distant from the rest of them since their arrival. Not even Faolin could fix her problems anymore. Keeping to herself, as usual, Rachias settled in the entrance of one of the many caves within Inferni, removing herself from the beating sun of the evening to remain lingering in the shadows for the rest of the day. At least, that was the plan.
