ooc murr: Yeah sorry that mars is a fucking weirdo. +5

Vox nickered lightly and he was getting slightly restless during their hunt, a sign to Mars to suck it the fuck up and get his hips wet (if he stayed mounted then it would go to about his hips at the deepest part of the river that they would have to cross) it would only really be Vox doing the swimming. Mars didn't even trust Vox though unless the water was at most, to Vox's calves. The steed flicked his long tail and shook his head as well as tapped the ground with his feet. Mars pretty much ignored the beast as he had thrown his mini-fit and then the rust man who scared his food away even more had spoken about how he would try to chase them back this way. He then called his horse and went off after the deer. Mars stayed silent, and he did not move from his spot on the bank of the water. Mars thought about giving up the chase, and just leaving the rust male to his guilt of being an idiot and he also thought about how he should just brave up and just cross the river. Every time he thought about such an act, his heart would race, and he would get too anxious about drowning, being swept away by the river. After all, that's what mother always told him. She always told him about how she was going to chuck him into the water and let the river consume his body, to let him drown. He never wanted that to happen. He never learned to swim because he was too scared of being swept away by the river. What a chicken.

It would take him too long to decide anyways because there would be a splash to his left and he had turned his eyes towards the water, where there had been a deer swimming back towards his bank. Mars waited for it to get out of the water, and once it was out of the water, then it charged off into the forest. The rust man and his steed were soon to follow, and once they were on the bank, they shook off and then they approached him and Vox. Vox snorted lightly, and Mars looked to the rust man. Thanks. he simply spoke to the other male before he turned Vox away and toward the deer's direction before squeezing Vox's sides with his feet, signalling for Vox to take off, in which the equine obeyed immediately. The tan and black equine had galloped into the woods, Mars having to dodge a few trees because of his height on the steed. Mars had found the track of the deer quickly, and he chased after it while mounted on his steed. He had no weapons to really get the deer down so he trusted that his steed would be able to carry him at the same speed, and just the sheer weight of his body and he would need to make sure he would bite in the right place to kill the being. Vox would catch up with the deer, and with a fluid motion, Mars had jumped from the back of his steed and hurled himself to the deer. He had been lucky to land straight on the back of the other hoofed creature, and his weight crashing into it's side had made it fall over. Fangs caught the back of it's neck, but not where he had wanted it. He had gotten it on the ground at least, and even though it was kicking and trying to get back up,the luperci tried his hardest to get it to stay. He held on his tight as he could to it, hoping that it would tire out or something...
