Huzzah! It was really about time we had this thread! Or any thread! <3 WC: 326

She had needed to get away. The recent weeks had left her stressed and fidgety, and despite feeling the need to stay in Inferni borders a bit longer, her body told her to move.

And so she found herself on the edge of the Dampwoods. She could smell that dark place from where she sat atop Lennon, and mused silently why Ouija had chosen it. Cercatori d'Arte had been a fine place for him, she'd thought; but that wasn't really her business. Thin fingers brought a half-smoked joint to her lips, and hazy eyes scanned the area. It was early evening; the sun was still out, but it was fading. The changing of day into night, and night into day were her favorites to watch.

With the recent skills she'd acquired from her now too-distant cousin, Sage had taken up painting. It was messy, sloppy, and ill-formed at first, but she was beginning to get the hang of it. Since she'd promised Ouija his finished portrait several months ago, she figured that now would be a good time to deliver it. And so she'd set aside the whole day to finish the task; a process completed with love and a mixture of emotion, some that she hoped he wouldn't see.

Figuring this was just a fine place to spend their time (and far enough from Anathema itself), Sage took down her bag from Lennon's back. A tree stump made a proper seat, and the girl reclined, tilting her head to let out a call for him, and him alone. It was short, a classic coyote yip; it bore no malice nor urgency.

Feeling a strange anxiety rising in her chest, Sage exhaled deeply, rolling the joint between her lips, taking deep puffs of it. Quietly, she began humming to herself, yellow eyes shutting softly, her palms resting on the knees of her crossed legs. She needed his company perhaps more than he knew.
