Things had happened within Cercatori d'Arte. The place had no longer been safe. And as he had come to find out there were a number of changes and was no longer the same place that had been left behind. Anathema had been perfectly fine the first couple of months. It was a recent run of events that made the place feel cursed to him. He had lost his mother and then the women he had pledged himself to. His sister neglected him as well and no longer wanted anything at all do to with him because she was too busy fucking the leader. He could understand the lack of physical relationship but she wouldn't even talk to him anymore. If he was the vindictive sort then he could possibly poison her relationship and destroy it as she had almost done him. But no, he had forgiven her for almost killing him. He believed her when she had said it was an accident. But he could warn her new beau to not get to close or she would attempt to do away with him. He could name her a black widow, and not really be too far off from the truth. He knew all about that hidden darkness within his sister that others didn't see.
It was this combination of things that had him getting away. It seemed that he would have to do just like he did in Cercatori d'Arte and go outside of the pack to find those that he could get close to. Actually that was the exact way that he had met the women in his life. They had all been living in differing packs from him at first. Eventually he had started living with them though. Perhaps that had been the downfall. Things were fine as long as he wasn't living in the same place. Maybe Anathema wasn't cursed, maybe it was him that was cursed.
He had been lucky to run into Sage again, to still be on good standing with her. He really needed some familiar company. One that he knew he could easily get away with his habits and didn't need to hold himself in check. He didn't have words to offer comfort but had always depended on physical touch. And well, he could use a bit of comfort. It wasn't often that he was down on himself but so much had gone wrong in such a short period of time. There was something off somewhere and he wasn't sure where the problem lay. Was it him or the place? Maybe if he stayed away from Anathema for a bit he could see if things improved. And if so then he would know for certain that it was the land that was cursed and not him.
He heard the yip and couldn't help but to feel giddy. He couldn't wait to see what she had done. To see what it was that others saw when they looked upon him. And maybe even be able to share some of wait was going on and just have a shoulder to lie on. He didn't expect her to be able to fix his problems but sometimes it was nice to just have someone to share things with. He thought that he had that with Demi, at least until she had turned her back on him. Now he had no one to confide in. He would end up figuring something out though. It was a set back for now but he would get over it.
He had his satchel with him since he planned on staying out longer than just this meeting. Once he spotted her he quickly moved over to her. He didn't hesitate to try and slip an arm around her in a hug as he made to kneel down and let his satchel slip to the ground. "Hey there beautiful. It certainly has been awhile. All is well?" The words were soft spoken as he attempted to nuzzle into the side of her neck. Perhaps he was being overly familiar and affectionate but he could really use a friendly face at this point in time. He just needed someone that wouldn't be quick to shove him away.
