Ouija had been just the perfect sort of comfort that the earthen Lykoi princess had needed; he sympathized, empathized, and would do anything, it seemed, to please her. Though she would never be one to order him around, she appreciated his company; her ability to speak freely without judgement had been severely restricted as of late, it had seemed, and she'd felt distant. Finally, she could release her emotion to someone who actually understood.
With her head resting softly upon his chest, her eyes staring ahead, half-lidded and sad at his response. Large, sensitive ears could hear his heartbeat, and feel the vibrations moving through his throat as he spoke. In the solemn, silent moments, the sound was odd and silly, and a small smile crept across her face; had it been larger, it may have been out of place. Sage closed her eyes, her head softly shaking a deny to his words.
"No..." she muttered softly, a hand raising to cup his face in her palm, lilting golden eyes gazing up at him with gentle concern. "You musn't think that, Ouija. You're a wonderful gentleman; I am certain you're not cursed," Sage added, her eyes and hands trailing down his neck to grace his gris-gris, thin fingers turning it carefully. "I thought you were protected from curses, though?" A small grin spread across her face, tapping at his gris-gris, an attempt to lighten the somber mood. "If you're cursed, though, then so am I," she finished with firm conviction, both hands snaking up his chest again and around his neck, her fingers interlocking underneath his thick, disheveled dreadlocks. Leaning up, she pressed her dark nose up against his larger pink one in a strange, affectionate gesture. With a natural, soft smile, she pulled back and let her pink tongue flick out just for a moment to meet his lips gently. Sage, for one, was grateful for Ouija.
