BECAUSE I CAN. perhaps we can have backdated the other thread like a few days or predate this one?

Since his encounter with Keese, the man had been far more removed than before. He did not like himself in a fight of raging emotions. So he forced himself into some kind of work again, just like he had when Anann left him. Anatoliy found the boat in a shed, after he had broken off the padlock, of course. It was a wonderful sailboat. And with a few customizations, it would be perfect and hold up to three people with room for supplies. All he had to do was hollow some of it out and fix up the rest of it to sailing standards. He had dragged it using a long cart to the beach line, so he could make it easier. Though if it were not finished by the time winter came again, he would return it to the shed and lock it again.

He had left it lightly covered for the past few days, content to just work on his tar solutions, still searching the right amount of pine wood and the right amount of other wood, as well as resin amounts. He had found one he liked, so he had been testing it on a small little toy boat he had built to test his concoctions. He had been running a thick brush over the bottom of it, checking the other side for leaks when he had looked up at the sky over the sea. His alarm grew instantly at the sight of the clouds rolling in from the northeast. They were grey, and they were angry. He could see them far in the distance, but the smell in the air was just the same as a storm coming in soon. Anatoliy looked at the boat in his hands and remembered; the big boat was still uncovered. It was too late to pull it in the shed. So a covering would have to be enough.

He pulled stacks of heavy wood to the boat, tumbling them to the side as he returned for more. Before he felt comfortable covering it with a water resistant tarp, the Russo boarded it, making sure the makeshift sail he had made was stowed properly inside of it. The mast for it was in as well. Though it still seemed too small for his liking as he looked at it, bent over. Soon, he would have to either find a new one or carve one. The latter would take a long time, but it was hard to know if the former was even possible. Still, if he wanted to sail, he would have to find it.

The Russo rose, stretching out his back as his golden eyes gazed at the approaching storm. From here, Anatoliy could see the darkness coming, the sea rough. Even the ways near the shore were getting stronger. Thankfully he had kept the boat on the grass, beneath sturdy pines. Shielding his eyes from the remaining afternoon sun, he gazed at the lightning forking in the storm clouds. He knew that this would be a big one.
