"I wanted to give you this." Se answered automatically, hands holding the snowglobe jutting out in front of her in a clumsy offering. Once they were spoken, she immediately wished she could swallow up the words up. They sounded stupid and childish to her ears. Despite being a woman of two, her waify size and lack of tact would see her regarded as a juvenile for the rest of her days. She sighed under the weight of her her own lack of social grace, and entered the room, slowly giving herself to steal glances of her surroundings. She felt hot beneath her fur. A fine sweat was beginning to coat her flesh, and she imagined he could smell her anxiety, hitch only furthered her discomfort.

She re-offered the globe from a far more reasonable distance, well within his reach. Her uncle didn't know her, and so there was no way he'd be aware of the magnitude of the gesture. Giza took things. She hid and hoarded them, and rarely parted with them. To give up such a special thing was no small feat. It marked the importance of what she believed she could gain in return - or at least hoped to: closeness with Cotl. He wasn't blood, but he was family in a roundabout way - a living, breathing reminder of her half sister. And though she'd come this far to distance herself from Lorelei, there was some comfort in having a reminder of that ever present personality in her life.

She wanted him to like her, the desire bordered on a need. She waited on baited breath to see whether he'd accept the gift, under much the same influence of anticipation that had held her when she waited to see whether he'd claim her when Ezekiel had asked if she were one of his relatives.
