Four white paws were heavy on the ground, two blue eyes were intent on the quarry he had been chasing for the past few moments. The heavily pregnant mate of his had been more demanding and her aunt, and his leader, had insisted he pick up the pace and actually hunt properly for her. Of course, Theodore had been more interested in the welfare of the whole pack, and his priorities had been questioned. Now that it had been pointed out to him, the black and white male had no choice but to follow orders. It wasnt that he had no interest in hunting for his mate- he just loathed being told what to do. Still, his concentration was slipping, moving quickly away from the small deer that was desperately trying to get out of his way. And with a leap the male attached hisself to the herbivore's back.
Legs buckled, bleating breaths came as the creature panicked. His superior weight had sent them both crashing forward, and therefore over the hillside they had been heading towards.
