HIDE YOUR INNOCENCE BEFORE THEY SEE RIGHT THROUGH
<333 Being vague here with Agony. Didn't know if you had anything specific in mind for her, James. o: wc:374

The time had finally come, and Jackson was proud to say that he'd been successful in his ventures of the past 24 hours. The worries that had first plagued him when the Angela came to tell him of the coming-of-age ceremony now seemed so simple and foolish. His successful hunt and sacrifice of the hare in the darkened Anatheman forest had lifted his spirits and calmed his nerves. And though he learned just how tedious bone-crafting could be, he had completed this task as well. Even now the boy wore the thick twine necklace he had fashioned and he had no intentions of taking it off. Fingers brushed over the bone-carved hook that hung from it, and the two smaller points of bone flanking it on either side, taking comfort in the fact that it was still there with him.

He had met up with Agony earlier that evening when he had returned from the forest, finding his pale-furred sibling waiting at the mouth of the main entrance of the caverns. "Finally," she had said, eyes like embers scrutinizing him as he approached. Jackson scowled back at her. "Yeah, whatever. Let's go." After a brief stop at their family's den within the caves, the two hurried outside and made their way down to Maxia Negra. Jackson had pestered his sibling to tell him what she had hunted or show him what she had made, but the girl ignored his questions and held whatever item she had crafted in her hands and out of his sight. The rest of their walk was made in silence.

The two took the lengthy path through the trees to arrive at the ceremonial clearing, finding that a number of their pack mates had already arrived. Jackson recognized each of the faces of the gathered, happy to see that his father and brother showed up, and the beginnings of a smile touched his lips as he spotted the young Camilla. The pair of siblings stepped through the clearing to arrive near their leader. The hybrid boy's prideful grin from earlier in the evening subdued itself into more of a smug smirk as he looked over the clearing. His cerulean gaze came to a halt upon Naniko's snowy form, awaiting her words.

YOU MUSTN'T DISAPPOINT THEM
