The pups arrived together, she noted. They seemed to get along well enough for siblings; she wondered vaguely what it would have been like to grow up with a litter-mate to talk to and share things with. Naniko hoped that the other pup in their litter, Esmeralda, would find her way back to them in their mountain home soon. As Jackson arrived, she took a look at the item that he had made. Rabbit bones. And it appeared that Agony had created a charm from snake bones; a very different choice.
She cleared her throat after nodding to the pups in acknowledgement of the items they had brought. "Jackson has sacrificed a rabbit to the Gods and has made a talisman out of its bones. May good luck and good fortune shine down upon him as he takes his first steps. The first steps as an adult in the Anathema pack. The rabbit signifies a gentle, brave heart. Jackson will use this trait as he goes through his adult life" She said.
Agony was next. She looked down upon the girl, the gray pup's burnt gaze fixed upon her jade eyes. "And Agony has sacrificed a snake. She has created a talisman as well. May fortune and luck shine down upon her as well as she takes her first few steps as an adult in the Anathema pack. The snake that she has sacrificed signifies a cunning and determined will. She will use this trait as she goes through her adult life as well."
Naniko looked out to the crowd that had gathered, raising her hands. "May we welcome Jackson and Agony into the pack as full adults. Jackson as our newest Ose and Agony as a new Zepar." She finished. She could see that some of the others had brought gifts, and she had ones of her own to give to the pair. Naniko reached for two small wooden totems that she had created, offering one to each of the new adults.
