He didn't seem pleased to see her as she entered the house behind him — more concerned with the children than her well-being. She grimaced at the idea, unable to see the error in simply leaving them behind; of course, they had been sleeping and she hadn't gone far, so it couldn't be so awful, could it? A white-tipped hand rubbed at the side of her face while she waited for an answer to her question. He held up something for her to see, explaining that he'd found it for her with some fabric to finish her dress. Her eyes narrowed to see it more clearly, features softening to trace affection as she reached for it. Did she want to help him with measurements? Her poor mood lifting slightly, she offered a nod in response, passing him to go into their shared home. "Yeah, can help some, prob'ly." A sigh punctuated her words and she dropped onto a piece of furniture to watch him.
It didn't take long for him to ask about the two growing pups, and a grimace took over her face quickly. "They're fine, Mars, chill out." She was sure they'd been asleep — if they hadn't, at least one of them would have followed, most likely the outrageously rambunctious Paz. Another rub to the side of her face ended her words, pale eyes staring upwards at the ceiling as she waited for her live-in friend to check on them, just as she expected him to.
