Lmao! And short fail post.

Ivory ears twitched to the sound of the cat speaking. He was transfixed by speech, and was lost for a moment as he tried to determine some pattern. It was something that he would have to figure out on his own, a new project — it would undeniably be interesting to be able to speak to other creatures. He wondered if the language was particular to each species or if perhaps it would allow him to speak to Lexington. Although, horses were not generally very smart.

After they had shared a smile of gratitude the kitten started squeaking about something again, and Kansas flinched as the noise punctured his eardrums like so many needles. He listened to the woman's response and was surprised to find that the kitten already had its own name. And what a weird name it was. "Frex, huh?" he spoke dully, rubbing behind one of his ears with a claw. A short snicker escaped his lips as he watched the woman lower herself to the infant feline's level and speak to him, her voice somehow mocking. "What's it want? And what'd you tell it?" he asked, unable to quell his curiosity.
