Valinta had, as of late, found herself leaving Gunnar to his own devices and just idly wandering around farther and farther away from where she decided was home, that mansion on the beach. She had no home other than that, no pack to return to, so she figured it didn't matter. Her baby was an adult now, and despite him not shifting yet, he was still able to defend himself. And there was no way a bear was going to attack him for no reason. That was just sheer maternal paranoia.
Wandering in and out of stores, the woman paid little attention to anything, finding her gaze drawn more to alcoholic beverages and things involving them more than anything else. She sighed as she remembered the safe of alcohol in her room, the door gaping open, hastily slid under the bed to avoid temptation. Deciding that she would get her alcohol because she obviously needed it, Valinta drifted into a liquor store and left a few minutes later carrying no less than five bottles. She'd probably return, too, at a later date.
Setting down her fermented treasures, she opened the largest bag on the side of her belt, and a sleeping kitten tumbled into her hand. Her little Princess Puff. The kitten with it's patches of orange and black on white opened her wide green eyes and purred, then fell asleep again. Smiling, the woman put the kitten back into her little bag, and then scooped up the alcohol, stopping as she passed a black cat staring at a building.
Lifting a curious brow, she looked up at it as well, not seeing what was so special it demanded the cat's utmost attention. Looking from cat to building and back again, Valinta could make no correlation as to what it was the cat was doing. So she sat down and pulled out Princess Puff to play, the small kitten batting at her fingertips.
