He was hated and ostracized long before he began experimenting on his siblings. A runt never earned love and attention. It was a miracle should they ever survive. And well, Bastion obviously had. It was that mistreatment and neglect at such a young age that had him acting out as he did. And it was in that mindset that he had started out, determined to sever the ties that his parents had with their other precious children. And of course that need for attention had him branching outside of the family to find others to torture and break. He found others that he could force to love him. When he had started out he had kept many to try and keep under his control but he had learned that all he really needed was a single puppy to do everything instead of a number of puppies that each had a different task. So since he had started out, having done it for attention even if that attention was negative, he had learned and grew in his capabilities.
So really it was a surprise to run into his sister, to find one of his old puppies in this new place. He had gotten rid of all his old ones and had practically forgotten all about them now that he had Janos. The older male was the perfect puppy and he had yet figured to end up replacing him. He hadn't begun to look for a replacement as he had when he had been separated from all of his old puppies. Still, his sister had traveled all this way to be with him again. He simply couldn't turn her away when he could show her off. He figured everyone else could use her. And for those that doubted him and his abilities then he had her to show for it. And she was just among his first few when he had started out.
He had went on ahead to check on Janos as well as to make try and find the leadership to try and warn them. After all he didn't want his previous work to go to waste. No, he was proud of his capabilities and didn't want the product of such effort being destroyed before he could show it off. But his sister had arrived before he really got the chance to speak with either Sirius or Eris. So seeing his sister there waiting and willing he sent up a call to alert the leadership after she had practically admitted that this was the life that she wanted for herself. He also had no problem returning her affection. The small male was prone to cuddling as quickly and easily as he was to killing. "Be here soon." The clipped words were spoken, indicating that leadership should be on their way. "There more. Two girls, they owned. One boy, he new." He figured he should inform her that there were other slaves around as well. The one male they had was the one he had captured recently.
