Bastion hadn't known just what he was capable of at that time. Even now he still didn't fully understand it. He just knew that if someone acted a certain way and he said certain things then they turned out like Twilight had. So while he didn't have full comprehension of what he was doing he was capable. After all you didn't need to know the name of food to know that you liked the taste of it. This here worked on the same principle. He might not be able to understand and explain the finer points of it but he knew what he needed to do in order to get the results that he wanted. And that is what really mattered, wasn't it? Just the results.
He would say that he had done very good for his first time. But then again she was family so that love was already there. That had probably made it easier. Still it was trial and error, even to this day, that made him what he was. It was that method that he still employed. He just felt out whoever he was interested and did whatever he thought would have them interested in him and listening to him. Obviously it worked for him since he had managed to convert all of his siblings. Though through time he learned that he only needed one at a time. So he had refined himself since starting out.
He watched his sister, glad that she had remembered what it was that he had taught her. She would be perfect for showing the others how to fall into line, if he did say so himself. She showed exemplary submission. Even those looking to get into the family could learn from her. While Bastion might not be the prime example of submission himself he did know how to get it from his sister. He looked from the female to glance around the area for any sign of leadership. "You come far. Take long time?" He asked as he focused on his sister once more.
