HI Smile Sorry it's taken me ages to reply, I started two threads, thought it would take me no more than a minute, apparently not.

pushitinThe lithe lady had been enjoying the day so far, she had sat atop a rock brushing out her long, jet black mane, which had become more knots than tidy hair. She was rather pleased with her new find, the little mauve hairbrush she had found discarded in a thicket of rough grass. The sable lady had picked it up and found a comfy spot to clean out her hair, it was long overdue, in fact she didn't think she had brushed it since Dayna had left her, taking her little human comforts with her. What a fool she had been, Dayna would never have stayed with her forever, the cream-coloured fae was too stubborn to have changed her mind. The truth was her former lover had wanted pups, she had wanted to find a male to father them and then have herself and Soran raise them. The pale lady had been confused when Soran had refused, although she had explained, she had had her family, although raising a litter of pups would be in some way attonement for her distance during her own little ones' young life, she could not go through it again. The truth of it was that the idea of having pups that called her "Mama" would be too painful, it allowed the guilt of having not seen her own family for over 2 years to gnaw at her again, bringing a nagging doubt that what she was doing was the right thing. She had asked Dayna if she thought it was the right thing to do, having left and not looked back, Dayna had said that it couldn't have been the wrong thing as Soran was happy now. Over and over she brought up the suggestion that they had pups together, but the dark grandmother was not interested in having another litter to look after. In hindsight she wondered if perhaps it was simply because she no longer loved Dayna... by the end of their relationship she was staying merely for the convinience of being with someone who's face she knew. So Dayna had left, but not all of what she had said had fallen upon deaf ears... and Soran realised that she did want family, her family, she wanted to go home.

pushitinAnd so she had set off, hoping that she would find her family all alive and well together, hoping even more that they would welcome her with open arms, that they would forgive her and let her come home. The lithe lady hoped for that more than anything. With a yawn and a stretch she rose from her rock, placing the newly aqquired trinket into her leather satchel, then moving the satchel so that it was around her dark neck, before slowly changing form.
pushitinBones creaked as they shortened, her mane (now with a few stands of grey she had noticed) shortened back into her neck fur, her spine changed position to accommodate her new four-legged posture and finally she was in her wolven form again, bag hanging loosely around her neck. It was in this form that she walked, passing by the trees with relative ease and soft footfalls, ears twitching as she listened to the sounds of the area, so different from where she was coming from, an oasis compared to a wasteland, so vibrant and full of life. A happy barking caught the lady's ears and she turned her head to see a little rust coloured ball of fur bounce past, someway in the distance, with a faint smile she thought of how he looked and sounded like Conri had when he was young, so happy and alive. Without giving any other course of action much thought, the lady followed him, picking up her pace as to catch him quickly.
"Hello there!!! Are you lost?" She called out, hoping the young pup would hear her.
