AniWaya was stifling. Though she had been content to travel to find Dawali, to tell him the news of their father and to get away from ghosts, she was coming to miss the expanse of the Great Tribe. What made it worse were the things she was learning within AniWaya itself. Songan had followed — he hadn't needed to, but he had — only to be taken away by some evil witch who had twisted his mind away from the family that cared so much for him. Nayati had his own mate, a woman Chitsa was unimpressed with and resented. The Etekaiele Gata, Master of her profession and one deserving of respect, was an ignorant harlot. Where was her Great Tribe and their structure? Their beliefs? Their unwanted taboos? It seemed as if so much was changed within this new extension under the brother. Was it Dawali's fault?

That was the question that had driven her from the pack lands: Was Dawali the reason so much was so wrong? That couldn't truly be the reason, for Dawali was her brother and she loved him dearly, but he was the leader of wrong and it was frustrating. Shaking her head as she made her way from the tribe, Chitsa tried to clear her mind of such negativity. Evil spirits had gathered, she was sure of it, and it would do her no good to dwell upon them.

As the forest turned dense and heartless, she found herself confused of her position — the downside to being such a recluse. It wasn't until the scent of another, an unfamiliar another, caught her nose that she gained back some of her comfort. Silence maintained in her mind as she sought out the source, hoping for some sort of direction back out of the woods. What she found was no more curious than herself, a younger woman with ochre fur and blue eyes. It was certainly more comforting than what it could have been; since fleeing the Great Tribe and their attacks, the world had become a dangerous place in the mind of the Amara.

Without waiting to see if the girl might be a threat, Chitsa twisted through the trunks of the dense forest, making her way toward the woman. "Hello? Could you help me, please?"
