Example 1:
“I don’t have time for your games, Timbre,” Her deep voice crowed, her long claws slid into the sandy floor. Timbre sized up the group she had with her. He knew the numbers were few, but this was only a small portion of the army. The black cat growled in frustration, one wrong move and they were all done for.
“I think you do, Salem!” He shot back at her,“ You make your own time.” Now they were equally mad, a fair fight. A small soldier stepped from the group behind Timbre, ready for a fight. And that’s what she’ll get, he thought. The Tribe's battle leader whisked his tail, signaling for Cleav to get back in line. The little fighter shook his head and faced Salem,” We all know what you came for and you can have it, after you kill me!” Cleav hissed the last few words, threatening, taunting.
“Get in you place, Cleav!” Timbre yowled, clearly not wanting to tick Salem off more till he had come up with a plan, Then a small spark settled in his brain. The extra caves or lead off’s, as they were called. Plan Z; he flicked his ears twice and waved his tail, then yowled,” Attack!” He launched forward, briefly checking to make sure the group had split in three. Two were heading through the lead off’s to the sides of the enemy soldiers. His attack was just a distraction so the other groups could finish them off. Finnick, a newer study, struggled with a cat three times his size and probably age. Timbre whipped around to go help him then realized Cleav was already there. Soon he had his paws on Salem who had tried to fling herself at Finnick's savior.

Example 2:
Gray sat silently just outside of the cave. His breath fogged up the air. it was cold, too cold if you asked him. Although, this was no time for whining. Hardships were coming. He knew it, they all knew it. Now, if anytime, was a time to prepare. Master Duck nodded at his Study as he padded past. The Master's pace was brisk, hurried. Gray was surprised he'd even taken time to acknowledge him.

"Gray!" A harsh voice interrupted his thoughts,"Focus!" The Albatross's voice shook him to the core, shocking him more then anything. He shook his head a faced out towards the horizon again. Gray heard the swish of the healer's fur as she stalked off, obviously furious about the what was going on. He shivered, but not because of the frigid air, but because of what he knew was coming.

Example 3:
"Go away." Mrs. Neilson's voice was cold and simple. Her eyes burned into Cato. Now, Cato was a tough kid, he could handle almost anything, but right there, the tone of her voice brought him back to before. One time long ago when he'd been on the street. His heart still stung from that. Cato released his friend and backed up a few paces, face revieling nothing," GO!" She hit him hard and he lept back, tripping as he went to hide in a corner. Enraged creatures weren't too good about sensing things that weren't their main target. No, Cato wasn't the focus, Jack was.

A blood curdling scream left Jack's throat and Cato squeezed his eyes shut. He knew he couldn't take her, not while the whatever it was had a hold on her. Crying and screaming and yells for help all came from Jack. Cato shook and curled up. When it was over, Jack's body stilled and the other boy saw the blood. A door slammed shut to another room and Cato fled off into the rain, a pit in his stomach, but tears didn't come.
