The large male returned from his trip outside of Anathema but he didn't make to return to the cave system. He wasn't ready to disappear into the darkness just yet. Instead he had walked up the shoreline to return to the pack's lands. He didn't bother to alter that course and head inland but just remained along the coast instead. The male seated himself in the sand so that he could stare out across the ocean. He was watching for some of the larger animals that he had seen out there previously. He had no idea what they were but had found them intriguing to say the least. he was hoping to spot them again and maybe learn a bit more about them or something.
He placed his satchel down in the sand beside him and pulled out a knife from it. He then reached out to pick up a smaller piece of driftwood from the sand. He had only been looking for one that was easy to hold. Once he found an appropriate sized stick he started to carve away at it. He was trying to recreate the animal that he had seen out in the water before from memory. The activity was really just something to keep his hands and mind busy while he refused to go into the cave system and socialize. After all he couldn't stand to be idle and who knew, someone might actually want it.
He worked on whittling and shaping the wood that he had in his hands with sparse glances out over the water. He was hoping for a refresher. Or at least something else to help distract his mind from some of his darker thoughts. He continued to feel unsettled in this pack. It no longer felt like home. Actually he had started to feel better when he was away from the pack then when he was upon the lands. And of course he had no idea what to do about such feelings. That was why he did what he could to distract himself and always have something to work on.
