A.) The sun had begun to sink under the horizon creating a mural of pinks, fiery oranges, and creamy yellows. It was one of Hana's favorite times of the day for it was the time when prey would be on the move. Silently the small wolf padded through the underbrush to follow the strong scent trail of elk that she had been following for the past two days. The forest was quite as Hana progressed and the sun seemed to fade quicker behind the horizon. The sudden snap of a twig brought the young wolf from her task at hand. With practiced stealth she crawled lowly on her haunches to the edge of the clearing, watching as her pray ate the dark grass of summer.

The wind was in her favor today, she seemed to be downwind. This made it easier for the petite wolf to move without being detected. There on the outskirts of the herd was a small group of fawns playing; she chose the one of the far edge of the group. Taking a deep breath Hana darted out from the underbrush, the elk immediately bolted away giving a cry of distress. In the confusion of the panicked creatures she pounced on the fawn, her teeth driving home into the heated flesh of the small animals neck. Crimson liquid flowed out of the now still animal and onto the mottled fur of the young wolf. Tonight she would have a full belly.

B.) The young wolf felt much better as she let the warm meat settle in her stomach. Weary from travel she lay only a few meters from the carcass under an old and twisted oak tree. Hana let her eyes droop in exhaustion as she settled to watch the rest of the light fade for the night. It had been a long travel that was for sure it was hard to even remember what direction she had been heading for in the first place. after many months of wandering the forests around her blurred into nothing but greens and earthly colors. The only times that something would peak her interest is when the environment around her would change dramatically or she was near pack lands. Though her body was burnt out for the night her mind couldn't shut off. so She stared and watched as dusk faded into night.

The moon was full tonight. The thought made the young wolf slightly more antsy, she wanted to run and howl. but on this full moon she was to spent to do anything but let her tiny body lay there and scan the forests around her. The night time symphony was in full force, crickets and tree frogs hummed and chirped in a discord of a harmony that somehow made the she-wolf's muscles lax. Ever so slowly golden eyes fell closed as Hana let a huff of breath out. She was tired of it all, tired of wandering from place to place. Tired from having no connection, no one to talk to. Tired of being alone.

C.) She let her mind wander, it roamed back into the land of day dreams. of dreams of the young wolf roaming through fields of wild flowers and wheats. howling and yipping as her older sister Diamond watched from a distance. Those were fond memories, ones that Hana refused to let be tainted by her family. she nearly snorted at that, those people were not family. Family wouldn't leave the weakest to die, they were suppose to lookout for each other. Protect each other. they were monsters, every single one of them.

A shiver flooded up her spine, the distant sound of branches snapping sent the young wolf back onto alert. Ears swiveled as she listened closely, the adrenaline had already begun to course through her veins as she stood. The howl was what sent her into a full on sprint in to the opposite direction. She had heard that howl before. In her mind, in her dreams, in her nightmares. He was getting closer, she could hear his maddened footfalls close behind. Wetness filled her eyes as a whimper escaped her throat. The young wolf had to run faster, harder, longer. She had escape him, she had to escape father. Her chest heaved as fire enveloped her lungs, but she wasn't going to stop. she had the devil himself on her heels. ear laid back as the young wolfs big paws almost made her stumble in her panic. Hana's legs wanted to give out from under her, but she kept going. Images flashing behind her teary eyes. Her father growling and swearing at her. The pup's muzzle coated in her brothers blood that tainted her multicolored fur. The wail of her younger sibling's pain as she had finally realized what she had done to him. The searing pain that electrocuted through her left leg sent her sprawling into the cold ground. The young wolf laid there for a moment, a sob strangling her voice before she finally got up. she started running again, this time at a trot as her left leg spazzed in pain. She had to escape the monsters. She had to escape herself.
