It went exactly as he figured it would, awkward and her temper firing off just as quickly as it ended. God he found himself becoming more and more drawn to her fiery personality by the moment but he sensed a bit of hurt on her. He’d seen untold horrors, had friends blown to pieces in front of him but her actions seemed to bring a surge of hurt in him. It was after all his own words she was using against him.

Finally his arms left her, not finding anything to say. There was no story book ending here, he simply just couldn’t figure out that this one woman was getting under his skin so easily and he couldn’t simply just let her go. But it seemed that was exactly what he was going to have to do. He looked her over and her own conflict written plainly across her.

“I’m sorry, we should just part ways,” after all he didn’t live here, didn’t have a job or even place to stay. Hell his plane ticket had he flying out tomorrow to Denver, what had he expected to happen tonight? He sighed as his lingering fingers left her form and he returned to his seat and down his remaining whiskey. Saluce gave the bartender a nod, his drinks where supposed to have been on the house but a hundred dollar bill was sat under the glass.

“Donate it to the Local Veteran’s club,” where his own instructions, as he started walking out of the bar.
