The funny thing about this all was that he did not know how he had reacted to her. All he knew was that he remembered that stupid question that she had asked him. He'd acted impulsively, and emotionally none the less to such a touchy subject on this side, and when she had spoken the cold words back to him, his rust ears would move forward and then back.
