Standing there, Katana in hand and body relaxing into a stance, he didn't have to wait long for his new found apprentice to come at him. Watching how she gripped the weapon, held it as she moved and how she carried herself in general whilst wielding a blade he made a mental note of errors and minor things to point out to her later; although he was pleasantly surprised to see that she wasn't doing to bad of a job overall. Raising his katana a fraction he waited patiently, schooling his face to be neutral and give little away. Placing a paw slightly further back, he remained in place until the black and white female began to strike and it was then he chose to make his move; pushing forward he aimed to close the gap between himself and the other, bring himself as close to the female as possible and catching her strike with his Katana. The shock of stopping the others blow went straight to his ribs and he couldn't help but wince alittle.
Pushing down with his blade, he waited for the female to make her next more, predicting her potential actions and such and preparing counters for them. But simply waiting for her to move wasn't all he had planned, for he noted her closed eyes and flashed a grin, removing one hand from his blade to pull free a dagger, his body complaining and searing with pain from using only one arm to wield the katana. Placing the dagger above one of the female's hands, he smirked, “Never close your eyes. You swing the blade around you should watch the outcome”. He pulled the dagger away a fraction, to show he didn't intend to use it.
