Ralla's emotions jumble too much >_> (Nootau: Visible)

Ralla had not known a bit of what was going on when the strangers had come. All she had known was that she was scared. And not for herself--no, far from it--she was scared what the newcomers meant for the tribe. She followed Dawali's lead--civility and deference to this man called Maska Ahote--and yet...there had been a feeling about him she couldn't shake, and she refused to trust him. With every deference Dawali had shown and she copied, her mind repelled any attempt to trust the man's words. They were poison. She had told Dawali as much after they had left the man and his group for the night, but she didn't know how to act on it further. According to Dawali, this man was powerful back in the Great Tribe, and her understanding of the Great Tribe's inner workings was so limited.

And then she was proven right by his...display. By instinct--that which was ingrained into all wolves when it came to rank--she held her tongue throughout Maska's speech, appalled as she was by what she was hearing. Doing otherwise would've been a direct challenge, and shameful on her part. She could see that Dawali was having trouble faring the words as well, and had those other three--the Guardians--not been standing there she would've helped the red man confront Maska directly. Nootau stood off to the side, watching, and she felt no emotion-colors in her mind from the spirit guide; it was unnerving. Her sudden drop back to Itse shocked her, of course, but it did not concern her as greatly as the others did--the seemingly kind words of Maska were like stings of a wasp. Despite her being relieved of duty, she still worried for the tribe, and could see through this grey man; this manipulative man from the Great Tribe. With a wince Ralla watched as Dawali handed over the pelt that spoke of his Master rank, although it symbolized far more. She did not have her own relic with her at the moment, but her ears went back and her posture adopted that of a compliant Itse, as was proper. To be clear, she only did this in Dawali's example; if he did not fight, it was not her place to challenge the man either. Maska's words...they were hollow to Ralla. Dawali is our chief! He's led us true and well, and then you...! She did not care what this man said of Dawali's 'treason'; she had never known Dawali to do any such thing. But the way Dawali was... She looked at him again, in his lupus form, but looked away. Their tribe had never had an Itawamba before, but she knew the conditions of the rank. She refused to treat Dawali so, and would thus pretend he did not exist in front of these newcomers. She did not see the sadness in the man's eyes, but she knew it was there.

It was then that Ralla looked out to the tribe and pleaded with her eyes that they walk away and not resist. Doing so would only end badly for them--the black Guardian had stepped forward and was giving them all a sharp look of commandment--and she hoped that perhaps they would follow her example and just...walk away. What else were they supposed to do?

Their Chief had fallen.
